Alright everyone, first of all I'm sorry for the lack of updates here but I was on vacation and had no internet access at all. Thanks Mahum for the great work while I was away, but there are a few things that need to be cleared up.

I don't really want people using Private Messages to send reviews to other authors. We have a structured forum-like website, because we want the stories to be the starting point of discussions and the likes, so I feel like any reviews should stay in the thread so everyone can read and reply. I am aware of the fact that some authors might not want reviews to get mixed up in the stories, so if that is the case, please state so when you start your story thread. I do like to read what other people have to say about other stories, this is why I'm encouraging you all to keep hitting that "Post Reply" button and go crazy with reviews: everyone needs that, that is part of why authors publish their own stories, because it's awesome reading different opinions.

Also, I'm really disappointed to see that this community is not working to its fullest. There are 32 registered users and only 10 of those (not counting us admins) are posting and active. Now, I don't see the point in people signing up and then not posting... this is not a lurking community, this is a discussion community so if you sign up, it means you have to stay active, even if you don't have a story to publish, those who have signed up can still contribute by giving tips AND comment on the stories published. It's as simple as that, it takes no time at all. It's really sad because I feel like this Writer's Community is turning into our previous Forum and I don't want to shut it down. At this point I feel like it's pointless having all these subsites that no one is interested in, and it's also pointless for me to keep posting the same message over and over again. We're spending so much effort in the subsite and we could use it to focus on the main site, so do something about it: you're the visitors, you have to power to make it stay or make it go!

This leads to me asking why the lack of people partecipating in the challenges of the week? I felt like everyone was so enthusiastic about it and then we get less than five submissions every time. As a result of that, I've decided to suspend the weekly challenges if the Jon based one doesn't go well. Based on the number of submissions for this week I'll decide if we keep starting new challenges or just leave it for a while.
